Two USHL junior hockey teams—the Tri-City Storm and the Des Moines Buccaneers—face off at the MidAmerican Energy Company RecPlex in West Des Moines. The modern, multi-use arena hosts high-level ice hockey and has served as a regional hub for Des Moines sports, including as a temporary home for the Buccaneers when their usual rink was unavailable.
